Clank! Legacy 2: Acquisitions Incorporated – Darkest Magic is a campaign-style deck-building board game for 2–4 players that blends competitive dungeon-crawling with evolving story elements. Set in the comedic fantasy world of Acquisitions Incorporated, players take on the role of adventurers working for a corporate franchise, exploring dangerous dungeons, battling monsters, and stealing valuable treasure while trying to escape before a dragon’s attacks become overwhelming. As in other Clank! games, players build their decks to move, fight, and acquire new abilities, but every noisy mistake—every “clank”—increases the risk of drawing the dragon’s attention.

Over the course of a multi-game campaign (typically around twelve sessions), the game evolves through legacy mechanics that permanently alter the board, cards, and story. Players apply stickers, unlock new content, and record decisions that shape the world and narrative for the rest of the campaign, creating a unique version of the game tailored to their group’s choices. By the end of the adventure, the game board and deck have been transformed by the group’s actions, leaving behind a customized version of Clank! that can still be played after the campaign concludes.
