Find and Join Events

Use this guide to discover public sessions and RSVP quickly.

1. Search nearby events

  • Open Find Events.
  • Enter ZIP code and radius.
  • Adjust filters for timeframe, event type, and sort order.

2. Evaluate an event

  • Open the event detail page.
  • Check start time, location, recurrence, ticketing, and capacity.
  • Read the description and any attendance requirements before joining.

3. Join the right scope

  • One-time event: use the normal join flow.
  • Recurring event: choose the scope that matches your intent when prompted, such as one occurrence or the full series.

4. Manage your attendance

  • Joined events appear in My Events.
  • Switch between Calendar and List depending on how you want to review upcoming sessions.
  • Leave from the event page if your plans change.
  • Check Notifications for reminders, invite activity, and schedule updates.

Tips for better results

  • Keep your timezone updated in Profile.
  • Expand the search radius when local results are sparse.
  • Join early for capped events.
  • For private groups, ask for a guild invite instead of relying on public discovery.
