Getting Started Guides

Practical walkthroughs for the most common Guildhall workflows: creating events, joining communities, managing stores, and getting timezone/calendar behavior right.

Install Guildhall on Your Phone (PWA)

Install Guildhall on Your Phone (PWA)

Installing Guildhall on your phone gives you app-like access from your home screen without an app-store download.

Guildhall also provides a dedicated mobile companion site at mobile.guildhall.events, which is linked from the main site install prompt.

Why install it

  • Faster one-tap access from your phone home screen
  • Cleaner full-screen experience than a normal browser tab
  • Easier day-to-day access to events, notifications, and store workflows

Main site vs mobile site

You can use either, but the mobile companion site is the recommended starting point for a phone-first install.

What you can do from mobile

Install on iPhone or iPad

Use Safari for best results.

  1. Open mobile.guildhall.events in Safari.
  2. Tap Share.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm the name and tap Add.
  5. Launch Guildhall from the new home screen icon.

Install on Android

Use Chrome or another browser with install support.

  1. Open mobile.guildhall.events.
  2. Tap the browser menu.
  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm install.
  5. Open Guildhall from your app drawer or home screen.

If the browser shows an install prompt automatically, you can use that directly.

Notifications on your phone

To receive alerts reliably:

  • stay signed in
  • allow notification permission when prompted
  • verify browser and OS notification settings
  • check Focus or Do Not Disturb rules if alerts seem missing

You can always review missed items in Notifications.

Troubleshooting

  • No install option on iOS: use Safari instead of an in-app browser.
  • No install option on Android: update the browser and try again.
  • Opened as a normal tab instead of an app: relaunch from the home screen icon.
  • Not getting alerts: re-check notification permissions and browser settings.
