Set Up a Guild
Guilds are private community spaces for recurring groups, campaigns, leagues, or clubs.
1. Create the guild
- Go to Guilds.
- Create a guild with a clear name and purpose.
- Add a short description so members understand what the guild is for.
- Choose whether the guild should be open or invite-only.
2. Configure membership
- Invite trusted members first.
- Use invite links for invite-only groups.
- Keep moderation and membership expectations explicit.
3. Run guild events
- In event creation, set audience to
guild.
- Select the guild as the audience target.
- Use recurring schedules for campaign nights, league nights, or regular club meetups.
4. Maintain community quality
- Keep event discussions on topic.
- Use photos and summaries to preserve session history when appropriate.
- Rotate hosts when possible to reduce organizer burnout.
Good guild hygiene
- Use descriptive event titles.
- Keep recurrence patterns consistent.
- Post schedule changes early.
- Revoke stale invite links when group access changes.
